By exercising alongside others at a similar fitness level and with similar lifestyles, you’ll be able to start a balanced routine that can be maintained over time. Many of us worry that becoming more active will require lots of time in the gym or mean that we need to make lots of changes to our lifestyles. With effective group training, this doesn’t have to be the case. Being consistent, making the most of the time you have available, and enjoying the process will help you understand that fitness doesn’t have to be intimidating.

Working towards your fitness goals

While one-to-one training is highly personal and tailored to your goals, group training is highly social. Being part of a group is an excellent way to ease yourself into the process of exercising more often, allowing you to spend time with friends and taking the stress out of trying something new. It also helps to provide additional motivation – if you’re worried about being inconsistent, choosing to train in a group creates a commitment. You’re less likely to want to skip a session when your friends are expecting you!

By forming a group where everyone has similar fitness levels, lifestyles, and goals in mind, it’s easier to plan and deliver sessions that suit everyone’s requirements. My approach to training is all about making maximum use of the time we have together.

I will make sure that all the sessions are convenient and easy to attend. I usually deliver group training sessions and bootcamps in public places such as McAndrews Recreational Ground in West Wickham. This ensures that there’s plenty of space and nobody is required to host.

Group training minimises the financial barrier to entry for those who are unsure about starting their fitness journey. These sessions provide a cost-effective alternative to one-to-one training, making them perfect for people who aren’t sure if fitness is something they’ll stick with long term.

I will help your group to enjoy exercise. Together, we’ll design a routine and build a fitness community that we all want to return to week after week. The social aspect of this approach is extremely motivating – becoming more active doesn’t need to be intimidating.
